In an active effort to boost the brand visibility of the Maldives and to spread destination awareness in the Swiss market, Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC / Visit Maldives) conducted an outdoor advertising campaign in Switzerland. This campaign kickstarted on the 12th of September, concluded on the 9th of October, and will be held at strategic locations across Switzerland. Billboards and digital screens in two major locations of Zurich will display the beauty of the Maldives and will be showcased for the duration of four weeks. The estimates show that this marketing effort will reach millions every month. Along with the scenic display the screens will also inform the potential Swiss visitors about the exciting experiences curated for them.
With 22,751 arrivals from Switzerland, the country currently stands among the top performing source markets of the Maldives as of 14th September 2022. Currently MMPRC has several marketing activities in the pipeline for the future of the Swiss market to maintain and further strengthen its hold. This campaign is an addition to the 260 different marketing activities undertaken by the MMPRC which will include digital media and partnered print campaign with Falstaff.
