Thailand’s most prominent journalists and bloggers were invited by The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC / Visit Maldives) to experience world-class hospitality and luxury the coral haven offers. Thailand’s journalist arrived in the Maldives on 20th February 2023 and will spend the next 6 days experiencing the immersive adventures, products, and renowned Maldivian Hospitality.
The Pullman Maldives Maamutaa, Mercure Maldives Kooddoo, and Reethi Beach Resort in the Maldives will host the representatives of Thailand. The team consists of 2 journalists, 3 bloggers along with a PR representative. This is an active effort by the MMPRC to boost brand awareness and promote the Maldives as a top-of-mind destination reaching out to extensive audiences of the journalist team through online articles, social media platforms, and publications. MMPRC aims for the combined reach of the media members to exceed 6,179,000 impressions.
This media event is a part of MMPRC’s marketing strategy to further strengthen its hold in the Southeast Asian market and will focus on highlighting the Maldives’ diverse and unique aspects. MMPRC has more work in the pipeline for the Southeast Asian market such as participating in MATTA 2023, and ADEX Ocean Mission 2023, and is working on hosting a Maldives Roadshow in Southeast Asia. Thailand’s market currently holds the position of #38 in the list of top source market for the Maldives.
