The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is presenting the diverse holiday experiences the Maldives has to offer at the IFTM Top Resa 2024, held from September 17-19 in Paris, France. This event is a key platform for attracting French travel buyers across various sectors such as leisure, business, and MICE. This year, 35 representatives from 21 companies in the Maldives’ tourism industry are participating alongside MMPRC.
The Maldives’ exhibition stand, covering 121 square meters, highlights the country’s unique blend of luxury, sustainability, and natural beauty. Visitors to the stand can learn about luxury resorts, explore vibrant marine life, and discover honeymoon and underwater experiences that the Maldives is famous for. Local Maldivian cuisine is also featured, along with promotional videos showcasing the stunning landscapes, eco-friendly practices, and world-class hospitality that make the Maldives a sought-after destination.
During the event, MMPRC is holding meetings with travel partners, marketing agencies, and media outlets. Additionally, a special raffle, sponsored by Brennia Kottefaru, Joy Island Maldives, and Robinson Noonu Maldives, offers attendees a chance to win a holiday in the Maldives by participating in surveys at the Maldives stand. A French-language press pack is also being distributed to provide the latest updates on the Maldives’ offerings and strengthen its presence in the French market.
With over 35,000 French tourists visiting the Maldives as of August 2024, France ranks as the 8th largest market for the destination. MMPRC aims to increase French tourist arrivals by focusing on luxury, family-friendly, and sustainable travel. Ongoing campaigns like the “Discover Maldives” webinar series, as well as upcoming events such as a media familiarization trip and participation in ILTM Cannes, will further enhance the Maldives’ reputation as a top destination for French travelers.
